New Administrative and Operations Building – Update

As many of you know, Whitworth Water District received the authorization from the Board of Commissioners to build a new Administrative and Operations building. After a competitive bidding process, the District selected Bernardo Wills Architects to design the facility and are nearing the submittal of plans to Spokane County for permit review. The site will consist of 6,158 square feet of office space and 9,856 square feet of shop and vehicle storage together with a 5,000 square foot pole structure for the storing of pipe and fittings. This project is anticipated to be bid in early April and constructed by the spring of 2019. The new building will be located next to the Fire Station on Newport Road in Mead, just off the Newport Highway. The new building will offer ample parking, easy access, and of course still provide excellent, cost competitive service for the Whitworth Water District customers for generations to come.
