Whitworth Water District has operated out of the same building now for nearly 50 years. The District has expanded from 3,000 households in the 1960’s to serving over 10,000 households today. The District is currently in the architecture and development process of a new administrative and maintenance headquarters so they can continue to provide excellent, cost competitive service for the Whitworth Water District customers for generations to come. We will have opportunities for customer workshops and community input throughout our process.

Whitworth Water District was established in the 1930’s. The District operates as a special purpose water District under the Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 57; as a public municipality. The District is governed by a five member elected Board of Commissioners responsible for District operation. The District holds Board Meetings on the first and third Thursday of every month at 4:00 pm and are open to the public. The staff is comprised of fifteen employees.
